Tremolo Claws
It appears that many San Dimas era rear routed guitars had problems with the claws sticking out of the rear routes, so to fix this Grover special ordered shorter claws from Gary Kahler's Brass Factory (AKA American Precision Metalworks).
Left, San Dimas Charvel and early Jackson tremolo claw. Right, standard Fender tremolo claw. Note the larger holes in the Charvel part.
