This Charvel was part of a limited run
of 10 guitars based on a Charvel guitar featured in the 1983 Charvel flyer. The idea was
to get it as close to the catalog guitar as possible by paying attention to the fine
details. After finalizing the specs, the idea was posted on Charvel Central forum where
the 10 buyers were secured. The order was placed through Matt’s Music later in May
2005. A month later the work order was approved and they shipped in August 2005.
Unfortunately two were sent back because of a quality issue. Something had gone wrong with
the way the clearcoat had been prepared which caused part of the clear to separate from
the headstock and appear cloudy, instead of clear. |
